Annick Goutal wanted to pay tribute to her daughter. I had wanted to associate rose and pear for a long time. Isabelle Doyen wanted to recreate the image of her childhood home, when the flavor of the pears she drank had something of the roses that sprung up next to the pear tree.

The inspiration and creation of the fragrance are based on a love story between Cabotine de Grès and the Flower of Ginger Lily: the two names are inseparable. Native to the Himalayas, Ginger Lily is best known as the flower used in Lei's stunning Hawaiian garlands. After almost 30 years on the market, the fragrance still contains this remarkable flower with its dreamy feminine quality.
